Cutting through chaos.002

Presentation: Cutting Through Chaos, Time and Focus Management Revisited

This is one of Lyn’s most popular and practical presentations. Her years working for Franklin Covey helped her see how critical it is to constantly honing our time and focus management skills. Leaning into what Neuroscience currently tells us about how humans make significant things happen and blending that with the art of personal productivity, Lyn’s presentation offers solid strategies that get results fast. Audiences who have engaged Lyn for this presentation include: Women’s Council of Realtors, Paul Mitchell the School Corporate, DATC (Davis Applied Technology College), Westminster College, etc. Expected Outcomes: Participants will better understand the concept of and dynamics involved in focus/time management. Lyn will take each member of the audience through her simple strategy as it applies to their unique personal planning systems. Audience members report immediate improvement in their ability to manage their daily tasks, weekly tasks and some project tasks. This presentation can serve as hands-on dynamic keynote speech lasting 45 to 50 minutes or it can be customized to fit into break-out sessions and a 20 minute class.

Presentation: Customer Loyalty: How to leverage the power of evangelists  –

Every business and non-profit endeavor has a unique fan club: a group of believers who believe in what you stand for. If you’re smart, you spend less time trying to capture new customers and donors, and more time connecting with your advocates who have super-fan power. They, ultimately, are the force that will bring you the revenue, customer base or volunteers you need to remain viable. Customer Loyalty, or in Lady Gaga’s words, “Monster Loyalty”, is a key to marketing yourself in this decade. Lyn Christian would love to share research and strategies she’s gleaned from her association with Jackie Huba on the topic. Christian claims that everything she’s needed to know to market a thriving business she’s learned from Huba. And who is Jackie Huba? Since 2001, Huba has been researching the effects of word of mouth customer loyalty. She has authored three books on customer loyalty:

  • “Monster Loyalty: How Lady Gaga Turns Followers Into Fanatics” which was released May 2013
  • “Citizen Marketers: When People are the Message,” for which the Wall Street Journal proclaimed “drop everything and read this book”
  •  “Creating Customer Evangelists: How Loyal Customers Become a Volunteer Sales Force” which Harvard Business School praised saying, “lessons of customer evangelism related through real life company stories make this book an absorbing read.”

She was also the co-author of the award winning Church of the Customer blog, which counted over 105,000 subscribers, and her works have been noted by Forbes as “The word of mouth gospel.”

If you want practical, effective and simple strategies to boost your marketing efforts, you’ll want to hear Lyn’s presentation.

Expected Outcomes:

Discover how to bring money into your organization and generate revenue. Find out who your loyal customers are and how to target your one percenters. Explore what you and your businesses core values and ideations are. Find out if you have a “napster”: those free bite size chunks that create relationships and generate interest.

Reinventing Your Working Identity

“I enrolled in this program because I wanted to know how to earn a living which taps into my strengths, is something I love to do, and which I find meaningful.”
– Ginnie Roth, downsized Legal Assistant.

Most of us have entertained the notion of reinventing ourselves. Whether as a daydream or a desire spoken out loud, we express feelings of being unfulfilled. Sometimes we’re burned out or unhappy with our work life. Maybe you are experiencing a hunger to be more or to do more. If you are ready to move toward a significant career shift, schedule a free strategy session and learn if the SoulSalt program suits your needs.

Instead of spending time and money going back to school, (a prospect that many use as a means to placate ourselves into believing they we reinvent a career by going into debt and getting a degree) consider taking 6 months to learn a set of strategies you can use for a lifetime.

The program costs about 3/100’s of what most college degrees could cost you AND you can continue to work full-time while you learn how to transition.

Are you ready to tackle exercises that answer these questions?

·         What are my strengths?
·         How do I find out what I want to do?
·         How do I live more of my life for “me” versus for someone or something else?
·         What sort of work could I do so meaning and passion are abundant?
·         How do I organize the next phase of my life?
·         Where can I truly shine and earn what I want to earn?

Coaching topics and related objectives for this engagement:

Month 1:   Alignment – staying in my integrity while I earn a living.
Month 2:   Strength – what are the unique aspects of my set of “super powers”?
Month 3:   Wisdom – accessing inner wisdom and intuitive prowess.
Month 4:   Focus – managing my focus so my time is used wisely.
Month 5:   Passion – honing in on meaning, play and passion to fuel my future.
Month 6:  Strategy – filling my toolkit with life-long tools and models.

Included in this six month engagement is the following:

  • One group session for 60 minutes each month held via webinar or phone
  • One 1 to 1 session for 30 minutes with Lyn held via phone or in person
  • Unlimited texting with Lyn throughout the month
  • Inclusion in the Reinvention Facebook and/or LinkedIn group
  • Pod cast lessons and customized home-play that supports my unique reinvention journey
  • A coaching kit that includes assessments and at least one text book to use during the course.

The group will meet for six months.  Spaces are limited as we like to keep the group small.

For pricing and schedule, please contact us at (801) 463-5239 or via email at info@soulsalt.com.

Corporate and Culture Coaching

Creating a Coaching Culture

Creating a coaching culture within your business holds the promise to be an effective means to achieve strategic objectives, as well as improve business results.

Website pictures .035Senior leaders in non-human resource functions represented 80% of the recent participants in a study conducted by Center for Creative Leadership.  The study titled Creating CoachingCultures: What Business Leaders Expect and Strategies to Get There identified that: “…The surveyed leaders believe that seismic shifts in their organizations’ performance are possible ifcoaching is ingrained in their culture. The leaders believe that a coaching culture increases focus on developing others and managing performance; increases sharing and utilization of knowledge; leads to more participative and transparent decision-making; and makes learning and development a top priority.”

Utilizing the coach training programs offered at SoulSalt Academy and Lyn Christian’s MCC, CFCC expertise in training and mentoring coaches, is not just a smart move: it can also be highly profitable. Every step of the process has been gratifying and educational. They use definite tools and good business foundations for growth. We absolutely see a business return on this investment.”

Corporate Coaching

Coaching is the Best Method to Develop People. Coaching ranks first in terms of growing talent – your talent or the talent of your employees. Mentoring comes in second and training is third.

A recent HBR Blog noted that Google’s people analytics team examined data from thousands of employee surveys and from performance reviews. They were seeking to learn which behavior characterized the most effective managers and guess what topped the list? Coaching did of course, and it ranked higher than “assisting with career development.”

Similarly, Gallup has yielded parallel results. Gallup reports that to build high performance employees, they need someone at work who cares about them as a person. And when this person talks to them about career progress, encourages their development and provides them learning/growth opportunities, the benefits begin to pile up. Benefits which include higher sales growth, better productivity, better customer loyalty and lower turnover when compared to employees where coaching and such developmental elements are scarce.

Why does coaching succeed over mentoring and training? Here are a few points SoulSalt considers most vital to the success of your business:

  • Self esteem, the lifeblood of performance at work – Sir John Whitmore, Author of Coaching for Performance
  • Followthrough, focus management and meeting set agendas increase within coaching relationships. – Richard Boyatzis, Distinguished University Professor, Author of over 150 articles and Co-Author of several books including Primal Leadership.
  • Coaching is partnering with another individual in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. – Definition of Coaching from the International Coach Federation
.
  • Coaching with a competent and skilled professional often leads to a strong ROI (return on investment). At SoulSalt Inc. we have declared Coaching as one of the most evolved forms of adult learning. Coaching generates learning and clarity for forward action with a commitment of measurable outcomes. The vast majority of companies surveyed (86%) by the ICF say they at least made their investment back. In our case at SoulSalt we have testimonials as well as ROI studies showing below, measurable results.

“Coaching produced a 529% return on investment and significant intangible results to the organization. Including the financial benefits from employee retention, the overall ROI was 788%.”
Executive Briefing: Case study on the Return on Investment of Executive Coaching MetrixGlobal.

Rich Tafel’s own Coaching with Lyn resulted in the creation of a new working identity (political strategist) – the results were calculated at 372.8% return on his coaching investment which is $4.73 for every dollar he invested. When Rich began working as a Political Strategist his consulting assisted his client to get a $3 million grant. The estimated 6,600% return reflects an exciting chain of impact.
Rich Tafel ROI Study:  Executive Summary created for Legacy Learning LLC February 23, 2004

An independent R.O.I. study showed Paul Mitchell The School system accrued a 42% increase in the number of trainings that were booked, a 100% retention factor affording the company a savings of $57,381.00 during the period of 2006 to 2007- the year spent with Lyn Christian coaching the management staff.
