Fire Horse Energy & Personal Leadership Commitment
If you’re feeling a pull toward something more powerful, more honest, and less contained, this may be why.
The Fire Horse energy of 2026 invites a deeper form of leadership, one guided by your inner authority, not external expectations.
We’re in the year of the Fire Horse, and for me, this has prompted many, many moments of reflective action, and I have noticed something important:
My power will only be at its greatest when I focus on an unbridled, unharnessed version of myself. A version guided by the deeper intelligence of my soul, my inner authority.
2026 is, for me, a year where deliberate choices are made based on what I’m unbridling and setting free. Specifically, these 365 days are framed as an opportunity to act fueled by the power of a fire within.
I’m trusting that…
My Fire Horse knows where to run.
It knows how to move.
It knows when the moment is right.
My job is to allow it to be set free and listen wisely when inner guidance is at play.
If you are working deliberately with Fire Horse energy this year, what would your job be as you employ its power?
What Fire Horse Energy Represents
In the Chinese Zodiac, the Horse represents freedom, movement, independence, and personal power. When paired with the element of Fire, those qualities intensify.
The Fire Horse appears only once in a 60-year cycle.
The last time this combination occurred was 1966.
Interestingly, in Japan that year birth rates dropped dramatically. There was a superstition that girls born in a Fire Horse year would grow up to be too strong, too independent, too difficult to control.
In other words, they would be too powerful to contain.
Whether or not one subscribes to zodiac traditions, I find the symbolism fascinating.
I believe the deeper invitation behind the Fire Horse archetype is this:
Where in your life is your spirit too strong to be contained?
That is a question I’m asking myself daily and then aiming action in that direction.
Where Your Power Refuses to Be Contained
This year I’ve been asking myself:
What is in me that refuses to be controlled?
What in me is too strong to be contained?
The answers are multi-faceted.
But one clear expression has emerged.
Expressing Fire Horse Energy Through Your Work
The work I’m doing through SoulSalt, the Soul Authority™ leadership coaching program, and the joint work Annie and I are developing around Soul Sovereignty are bold expressions of that Fire Horse energy inside me.
They are expressions of the part of me that refuses to live a smaller life.
These programs are big, bold and are making an authentic impact in the lives of self-selected individuals.
While Soul Authority™ is all about taking control of your health, career, mindset, and success all in a year’s time, Soul Sovereignty is about reclaiming self and redefining one’s spiritual foundation.
One is for high-impact leaders who are getting back into the driver’s seat of their lives. The latter is for individuals who are facing a personal awakening or crisis in faith or wanting to recover from spiritual trauma.
Both are outcomes of me answering the two questions above.
How to Apply Fire Horse Energy in Your Life
How can you apply the use of these two questions in your life?
Supporting Others to Ride Their Fire Horse
In coaching sessions and free webinars held this year, my intention is to support others to tap into their own version of this Fire Horse energy.
Together, many individuals and I will explore how to listen to inner guidance through the filter of their own take on this topic.
If you’d like to talk about this topic further, fill out a leadership coaching intake form to have a private conversation, or watch for future emails about the upcoming free webinars.
