You Can’t Pay It Back…
A tale from a few lifetimes ago: A piece of my past that was full of learning about boundaries, emotional/verbal abuse, co-dependency, and letting go. These early post-divorce years found me with the power of a fresh start. However, my school teacher salary was stretched thin as saran-wrap and it was the first Christmas with my three little ones as a single parent. All of this began to feel unbearable and my main holiday concern was that I didn’t want my children to feel uber-poor or deprived.  Thanks to generous efforts that started showing up on our doorstep, one by one, our holiday was upgraded to “first-class”. Continue the story here…

The Yellow Jelly Bean… 
This one is a favorite of mine, especially around the holidays. Way back when, before starting SoulSalt, I was once a teacher in an elementary school. I had a student with a particularly turbulent home life. One morning this young boy burst into my classroom before the school bell had even rung and offered me something I could not refuse.
